Kumihimo weaving in the round as a process is very calming and a great mindfulness tool.
The Mellow Yellow Project is designed not only to create a bracelet and learn techniques for making other cording projects but also experience a technique to quiet the mind. This is a great class for even a beginner who has never used a Kumihimo.
Kumihimo cords are often used for making jewelry but originally they were used for clothing closures and decorative edging both are great applications for knitting projects.
