Sunrise /Sunset: Circular Weaving a Mindfulness Tool
Friday, October 15, 2021
2:00 PM - 4:00 PM (EDT)
Mail Order Deadline for Materials
Order materials from Instructor by 9/30/2021 to guarantee delivery in time for class. Orders after 9/30 may increase shipping charges.

In this class we will be working in the round using multiple fibers and beads to create a wall hanging. This is a mindful weaving class to help with focus and a calm state of mind. Part of this class will focus on the breath and how the weaving process can quiet the mind and work as a tool to help de-stress the body.

This loom can be used over and over for a daily practice of circular weaving as meditation. Or this completed project(Sunrise/Sunset) can serve as a Dharana practice.  Dharana being steadying the mind through one's pointed focus on an object or “trataka (the object of focus for steady of the mind)."
