Lengthen the life of your favorite hand knit socks, repair a beloved moth-eaten sweater or restyle outdated clothing pieces to revive your wardrobe. In this 2 hour workshop, we will explore the magic of mending. Through demonstrations, you'll learn the basics of darning, re-weaving , needle felting and key hand stitching techniques that can be used to create beautifully (in)visible repairs and embellishments. We will cover 4 basic hand stitches (running stitch, back stitch, whip stitch and invisible stitch) and discuss how to apply them functionally and decoratively to suit the purposes of any project. You will leave class empowered to tackle simple repairs with confidence and flair.
