Name
Easy Peasy Solar Dyeing with Wool and Kitchen 'Waste'
Date
Sunday, October 18, 2020
Time
3:00 PM - 4:00 PM (EDT)
Description

As a busy farmer, it is hard for me to find the time to set up for a full day of natural dyeing, especially during the busy summer season. I was thrilled to discover solar dyeing and the flexibility of timing that it allows while still giving stunning color results. We all have plant material around us that can provide color, whether we live in a studio apartment or on a 400 acre ranch. Join me for a demonstration of simple techniques to collect materials, prepare wool, apply mordant and turn kitchen waste materials and foraged plants into lovely natural colors on wool yarn and roving.
